Art Enrichment
Our
Mission
" A profound experience of art is an experience of something like love."
- Garth Greenwell
When students read books, look at art, or discuss big ideas, they learn how culture shapes our thinking — and how our thinking shapes culture in return.
This kind of approach helps students become more thoughtful, flexible, and open-minded. It builds skills like problem-solving, empathy, and the ability to understand different points of view.
We’re facing a crisis of empathy in our society — and on top of that, many students are still struggling with the social effects of isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In today’s world, our children need more than academics — they need connection, confidence, and compassion. At Bailemos, we use dance as a bridge to explore culture, creativity, and human stories.
This generation of students today who may know less about human history, culture, and experience than ever before. A humanities-based program like Bailemos helps students reconnect with each other, and build empathy; by blending movement with meaning, we create a space where young people grow, not only as dancers, but as thoughtful engaged citizens.
